💗 SLIME CARE & TROUBLESHOOTING
How to Keep Your Slime Stretchy, Soft & Satisfying!
Slime can change consistency over time, especially after being played with. Don’t worry! Here are a few easy fixes for common slime problems.
1. My slime is too sticky!
Add a TINY drop of slime activator (contact solution that contains borax is the easiest, or a pinch of borax in 1 tbsp of water mixed, add a few drops of mixture to the slime).
Knead it in really well before adding more.
Repeat only if needed. Too much activator can make slime rubbery!
2. My slime is too stiff or hard.
Warm it up by playing with it in clean hands.
Knead slowly to soften it.
If needed, try a tiny amount of unscented lotion and knead thoroughly.
3. My slime isn’t stretching anymore.
Let it warm up in your hands.
Stretch slowly instead of pulling quickly.
If it’s still stiff, try a tiny amount of lotion.
4. My slime is leaving residue on my hands.
Make sure your hands are clean and dry.
Knead the slime a little longer.
If it’s overly sticky, add a tiny bit of activator (suggestion #1 above).
5. My slime is getting dried out.
Make sure the lid is tightly closed after every use.
Keep it stored in its original airtight container or zipped baggie with air removed.
Avoid leaving it out in the open air.
✨ SLIME CARE TIPS
Always store slime in its sealed container.
Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
Play with clean, dry hands.
Keep away from carpets, furniture, clothing and hair.
Do not eat slime or its charms and mix-ins.
A LITTLE REMINDER: Slime is meant to be played with! Its texture may change with time and use. A little TLC can help bring it back to life!
Adult supervision recommended for younger children.
